Open Competition for the logo and slogan of Drama, as a wine tourism destination (first proposal)

For the first proposal submitted to the competition, the logo design was based on an abstract, symmetrical half-outline of an ancient Greek kantharos, the wine cup associated with Dionysus and the region’s deep cultural heritage. The form symbolizes wine tradition, fertility, and the strong connection to the land.

The color palette draws inspiration from ancient pottery and the earthy tones of the local terroir — clay, soil, and natural pigments — conveying authenticity, historical continuity, and a grounded identity.

The result is a visual identity that blends cultural symbolism, wine heritage, and contemporary design, creating a strong and meaningful mark for Drama as a wine tourism destination.
